Sales Order Administrator II Markforged is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Order Administrator II to join our growing team. In this role, you will take ownership of complex sales order management, exercising independent judgment to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across the order lifecycle. You will play a critical role in driving process improvements, supporting cross-functional initiatives, and enhancing order administration capabilities to scale with business growth. This position is designed for a high-performing professional ready to operate with autonomy, influence processes, and contribute meaningfully to the success of our sales operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales order administration, order management, or related roles, preferably in a technology or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex sales orders, including familiarity with custom configurations, pricing models, and contract terms.
  • Proficiency in order management systems or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, with experience using Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality in order processing.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage complex sales order processing, including custom configurations, special pricing, and contract terms, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business policies.
  • Exercise independent judgment to resolve order-related issues by partnering cross-functionally with sales, finance, and logistics, driving timely resolution and a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on order management systems and processes, providing guidance, support, and informal leadership to team members.
  • Analyze order workflows and independently identify, recommend, and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and efficiency gains.
  • Lead or support training initiatives for new and existing team members on systems, policies, and best practices.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses on order processing metrics and performance trends for management review.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance order management capabilities and support business growth objectives.
