About The Position

The Sales Operations Representative is responsible for supporting the sales process by optimizing sales opportunity planning, sales proposal/asset creation, and sales reporting. The Representative, Sales Operations role plays an integral part in supporting regional sales leaders by uncovering coaching opportunities, territory management, and sales tools adoption.

Requirements

  • Experience working with CRM platforms or similar systems (Microsoft Dynamics CRM a plus), as well as experience with sales enablement software.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data.
  • Experience in project management a plus with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent problem solver; demonstrates ability to use creative alternatives.
  • Works effectively in interdepartmental environments by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; addresses opportunities constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in related fields to journalism, marketing, or communications preferred.
  • Three or more years' experience in sales, marketing, and/or communications in a corporate environment, with direct responsibility for researching, writing, and/or editing content for a variety of topics and audiences.
  • Valid Driver's License and State Mandated Vehicle Insurance required.
  • Sitting at a desk for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity for keyboard and mouse use
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal utilization of the Sales Opportunity Planner for discovery of client needs and circumstances.
  • Create proposals and respond to board questions using CRM automation, proposal templates, and digital platforms.
  • Maintain and support accurate proposal content libraries, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Manage and enforce the proposal request process, overseeing efficient and timely delivery.
  • Verify the accuracy and brand alignment of digital and printed materials used in client interactions, including proposals and responses to board questions.
  • Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in CRM and sales methodology to support the sales organization and provide guidance.
  • Align with the Sales Enablement team on any training opportunities for the sales team members.
  • Oversee pipeline maintenance to ensure clean actionable data to support accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Respond to RVP of Sales requests for territory management, planning support, and reporting needs, as appropriate.
  • Gather insights from sales team on customer challenges and opportunities while leveraging this information to help facilitate improvements.
  • Proactively seek regular feedback from leadership about operational changes to ensure proposal accuracy.
  • Consistently analyze opportunities to accelerate sales cycle through adoption and utilization of sales tools.
  • Provide strategic insights and diagnose opportunities for sales coaching to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
