The Sales Operation Engineer at Teleflex is a technically based sales role responsible for enhancing customer relationships through proactive communication and oversight of customer projects. This position collaborates with various departments to assess and grow the business while adhering to profitability guidelines. The role is based in Trenton, GA, and reports to the Manager of Sales Operations.

  • Expertise in capabilities and product knowledge of micro-diameter tubing, coated mandrel wire, insulated fine wire, specialty conductors, and associated value-added services.
  • Utilize product expertise to maintain profitable business relationships and secure new business opportunities.
  • Develop pricing strategy and determine pricing model for key and new accounts based on pricing guidelines, market trends, and product life cycle.
  • Prepare, analyze, and educate management on quotation metrics and recommend actions to advance the business.
  • Assist in the preparation, formalization, and negotiation of customer contracts regarding terms, conditions, product volumes, and prices.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, QA/RA, Finance, Customer Care, and Senior Management on project timelines and customer service issues.
  • Keep management informed of market conditions, product performance, and recommend future growth strategies.
  • Meet with potential customers to explain and recommend Teleflex Medical OEM's products and capabilities.
  • Manage accounts and provide follow-up to expedite orders and resolve issues related to payments, delivery, and product performance.
  • Monitor and analyze customer performance to assist in achieving sales objectives.
  • Evaluate territory performance against objectives and take action to improve performance.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts by customer and product in conjunction with Sales Managers.
  • Assist in setting up and attending trade shows, consulting industry directories, and following up on leads.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in the medical device field.
  • Demonstrated track record for meeting objectives in a technology company.
  • Experience in administering complex sales processes preferred.
  • Strong Project Management Skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, etc.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
