Flowers Foods & Subsidiaries is looking to add a talented Sales Operations Director to our team! Position is responsible for managing and improving the operations and efficiencies of warehouses and routes within the assigned region.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in general management or sales. Past experience as a sales rep, distributor, or other sales position required.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably Sales or Business Administration) or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee route and warehouse operations on company routes within Market VP area.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in carrying out job duties.
  • Support the Safety Program of the warehouse by working with Safety Manager and local leaders to ensure Safety Best Practices are implemented within the warehouses.
  • On a weekly basis coordinate manpower to ensure routes are staffed appropriately. Identify and share best practices with local Route Sales Directors to optimize route resourcing
  • Work with MVP to ensure routing and scheduling of RSR's to maximize efficiencies.
  • Maintain proper load adjustment (including Route to Route Transfers) by working with and reviewing data with warehouse shippers, distribution managers and Route Sale Representatives on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Maintain accuracy and accountability on stale returning back to the warehouses. Identify and implement best practices to control stale.
  • Improve route operations for SBT Shrink.
  • Improve company routes by working with sales representatives to focus on proper/improved ordering to support consumer demand.
  • Maintain/improve open route balances by conducting daily and weekly reviews.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of warehouses in the MVP region. Ensure cleanliness of warehouses is maintained. Selecting/Supervising vendors needed to maintain overall repair and functionality of warehouses (e.g., snow removal, electricians, plumbers, HVAC, etc.).
  • Maintain inventory of all displays available for use in the field, ensuring that inventory is depleted prior to ordering new displays.
  • Maximize efficiency of the fuel program and oversee the Best Practices to maximize efficiencies
  • Work with the Fleet department on all required preventive maintenance and/or mandated repairs on trucks in open routes.
