About The Position

Government Employees Health Association, Inc. G.E.H.A has one mission: To empower federal workers to be healthy and well. Serves as a Corporate Growth Consultant to lead the sales processes for prospective groups and strategic existing products. The sales process includes the development and execution of growth strategies, tactics and training. This role will assist in identifying, assessing and developing new business opportunities. It will provide support for developing growth/contracting strategies, sales process development and driving superior client engagement and operational performance. A major task is to work with more senior members of the team to build rapport with senior executives across Operations, Growth, Product Development, Finance, and other key leaders determining how to provide excellent tools, reports and data analysis that provides the visibility necessary within the company to determine sales strategies on a national level.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • Requires 3 years of successful sales or equivalent sales management production in member services, insurance, or health-related account management services.
  • Requires successful outside sales or equivalent experience in managed care, member services, insurance marketing, or health-related account management products or services.
  • Additional years of qualifying work experience may be considered, in lieu of formal education.
  • Understand industry and category-specific landscapes and trends
  • Must have clear and effective written and oral communications.
  • Requires strong attention to detail, effective time management skills and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communicator who is learning to foster internal feedback loops.
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Responsibilities

  • Articulate GEHA’s services, positioning us within the market and industry standard.
  • Participate in the sales planning, sales strategies, territorial coverage, and budgeting processes.
  • Recommend and assist in driving Go to Market (GTM) current year project plan, short term (two year), and long term (3-5 year) project plans for growth.
  • In conjunction with more senior members of team and manager, monitor sales flow, prepare analysis, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare value-added reports summarizing overall customer base and trends.
  • Consistently monitor product lines and services to optimize prospect interaction and provide recommendations based on sales needs.
  • Work on special projects and task forces as assigned.
  • Develop messaging and work with Marketing on the Account Manager toolbox.
  • Help to create and update training materials and policies.
  • Manage all regional activity within budgetary guidelines.
  • Maintain up to date information on industry trends and the competitive landscape
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, Clinical, Operations, and other business units to ensure that diligence activities are scheduled and coordinated.
  • Help in creating functional strategies and specific objectives for cross functional teams.
  • Attends and assists with GEHA conferences and meetings
