If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Six years of professional job-related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire in-depth knowledge of Aflac's organizational, functional, and operational structures in business units served.
  • Knowledge of best practices and processes for operations management.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to collaborate with business unit customers and all levels of leadership to reach a common agreement.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the analysis of production and bonus payments by channel for the creation of deferred acquisition cost ratios.
  • Serves as a finance and expense advisor on all strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Partners with Sales Operations teams regarding the creation and evaluation of sales bonus tracking and reporting for all programs.
  • Oversees the end-to-end bonus expense forecasting process.
  • Assists in the creation and formulation of spending plan; defines, monitors, analyzes, and reports on objectives/performance.
  • Coordinates the development and management of processes for the identification of strengths and weaknesses.
  • Drives corrective action when performance does not meet targets for strategic objectives.
  • Researches and integrates industry best practices for strategic planning.
  • Collaborates with management to help identify variances in strategic objectives.
  • Provides guidance to affect change; evaluates and positively influences rollout timing and scope.
  • Ensures and assists in the management, reporting, and attainment of projected benefits after implementation.
  • Leads the periodic process to re-evaluate and refine the long-term strategic plan based on performance to date and changing business conditions.
  • Reviews requests for all Sales Contests, provides budgetary approval.
  • Coordinates Sales Compliance to assist in validating and ensuring accuracy of results through audits of reporting logic.
  • Performs management reporting and analyses of financial and operating data, including cost-benefit analyses and performance assessments.
  • Develops business/financial forecasts and projects; prepares updates, progress and variance reports, and other ad hoc reports for management reporting.
  • Identifies issues and proposes solutions.
  • Manages facilitation of Public Sector contracts/subsidies.
  • Performs other duties as required.
