About the position

The Sales Operations Associate Account Manager is responsible for making sure customers and Sales Account Managers needs are being met and understood by each department within the company. This role involves providing internal sales support, relationship building with customers, effective communication with account managers and senior management, and delivering superior service to existing accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide internal support to sales team by facilitating internal information and requests.
  • Set up new customers and locations.
  • Ensure efficient sales processes.
  • Manage internal launches with customers.
  • Act as the contact person for any internal logistical issues.
  • Manage all electronic data pertaining to customer websites.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on customers' retail systems.
  • Manage customer price increases and profiles.
  • Manage projects to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Account Manager on customer presentations.
  • Collect and analyze data concerning customer behaviors to understand changing needs.
  • Develop professional business relationships with an assigned customer base.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the sales team in navigating with internal departments.
  • Develop partnerships with customers to maintain old business and acquire new customers.
  • Communicate effectively with National Account managers and Senior Management.
  • Conduct bi-weekly meetings with Account Managers.
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve issues for customers.
  • Provide a superior level of service to existing accounts.
  • Assist Sales managers with their needs for the customers.
  • Ensure all work is completed and on time.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Proven work experience as a Sales support specialist or Customer service associate.
  • Understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical and multitasking skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows Operating System.
