The Sales & Merchandising Representative is a hybrid role responsible for driving sales growth while ensuring strong in-store execution across assigned accounts. This position blends relationship-based selling with hands-on merchandising to increase visibility, distribution, and velocity of our beer portfolio. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, physical environment. 2 days of the week will be spent selling products and visiting accounts in Marion and other areas surrounding Fort Wayne. 3 of the days of the week are spent merchandising and putting products out at accounts in and around Fort Wayne.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in beer, beverage, sales, or merchandising preferred, but not necessary
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift, move, and stack cases (up to 50 lbs) regularly
  • Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Passion for beer and the beverage industry
  • Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Ability to build floor displays and handle product safely

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail, grocery, convenience, and on-premise accounts
  • Sell in new products, seasonal offerings, displays, and promotional programs
  • Increase distribution, shelf space, and cooler placements for priority brands
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and prospect new accounts as needed
  • Communicate effectively with account decision-makers to meet sales objectives
  • Execute pricing, promotions, and chain programming as directed
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and KPIs
  • Stock, rotate, and merchandise product to ensure freshness and proper FIFO practices
  • Build and maintain displays, case stacks, end caps, and floor placements
  • Ensure shelves, coolers, and displays are clean, organized, and properly signed
  • Reset sets and adjust planograms as needed
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate out-of-stocks or ordering needs
  • Assist with special events, tastings, and product launches
  • Accurately report account activity, sales, and execution using company tools
  • Communicate regularly with sales leadership, delivery teams, and merchandising support
  • Maintain knowledge of portfolio brands, styles, and selling points
  • Represent the company professionally at all times in the market
