About The Position

Savannah Distributing Company is a family owned business since 1938 and leader in the beverage distribution industry. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Merchandiser for our Metro Atlanta markets. The Sales Merchandiser will create and maintain product displays within designated accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting products, replenishing, facing out and rotating products, resolving inventory discrepancies, building and changing product displays, maintaining product signage, cleaning product space and evaluating/processing damaged or defective products.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (strongly preferred)
2+ years of experience in merchandising or a related field (preferred)
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Strong organizational and time management skills
Basic mathematical skills
Strong work ethic and ability to work with little supervision
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Dependable and a team player
Must be able to pass a background and drug test

Responsibilities

Maintain backstock and fill shelves, build displays and rotate product
Manage point-of-sale promotions and monitor stock movement
Conduct grocery beer resets according to corporate chain plan
Handle special deliveries or pick-ups
Monitor customer warehouse inventory levels and notify the head of the merchandising team
Collaborate with customers to create attractive sales floor displays and ensure product prominence
Serve as a liaison between customers and the company, addressing customer issues and solving problems
Assist customers in creating an organized stockroom for easier product accessibility
Perform other duties as assigned
