About The Position

The Sales & Marketing Intern, Custom Solutions, will provide support for key commercial and marketing activities that strengthen Promega’s Custom/OEM business. This internship will offer hands-on experience in sales prospecting, customer and market research, marketing content development, and operational support for Custom commercial programs. This role will enable the intern to learn about custom manufacturing workflows, sales enablement processes, and marketing operations while contributing to the development of tools, reports, and resources that support the global Custom team.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate student majoring in science or business
  • Interest in the business of biotech
  • Interest in the basics of sales and marketing
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in digital tools and technology, including Microsoft applications and mobile platforms, with the ability to adapt and leverage emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to improve efficiency, automation, and collaboration.

  • Prior exposure to a laboratory environment
  • Prior exposure to sales and marketing situations
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Support custom prospecting activities by conducting market research, gathering customer and competitor insights, and assisting with lead identification efforts for the Custom/OEM business.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of standardized Custom capabilities sales presentations, including creating modular content tailored for specific customer meetings and business reviews.
  • Prepare routine reports and dashboards summarizing key marketing metrics, campaign performance, and prospecting activity data.
  • Maintain and update core resources on the Custom SharePoint site, ensuring materials are current, well organized, and accessible to the Custom team and cross-functional partners.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for Custom team meetings and events, including content preparation, scheduling coordination, and follow-up documentation.
  • Assist with marketing content development such as product capability summaries, prospecting tools, and other sales enablement materials aligned with Custom commercial initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Program Management to gather information, support project activities, and ensure alignment across teams.
