About The Position

PEPL has been engaged to place a Sales Manager for a manufacturing client in Social Circle, GA. We are seeking an individual who can plan, execute, and oversee all sales and promotional activities. This role will work closely with other department heads, including the Finance Manager, Customer Service Manager, and Marketing Manager to establish a department budget, encourage sales through marketing campaigns, and address customer complaints. The Sales Manager will review monthly goals, highlight new products to sell, cultivate sales pitches with the sales staff, renew client contracts, and discuss new company products. This will be a remote position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Polymer, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of work experience in TPE industry, Color Masterbatch industry, or Plastics compounding industry.
  • Hands-on experience in injection molding, extrusion, or tooling fields is a plus.
  • High sense of urgency, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Aptitude to work effectively within a multicultural and multifunctional environment.
  • Cross-cultural communication skills and experience are highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • Self-driven, Sense of urgency, Well-organized, Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong use of CRM to manage sales pipeline of projects/opportunities.
  • Strong MS Office skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA and/or advanced certifications in sales management are a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in injection molding, extrusion, or tooling fields is a plus.
  • Cross-cultural communication skills and experience are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales goals and associated plans to support the company’s objectives.
  • Build a high-performing and productive sales team to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Coach and mentor sales representatives to improve performance and achieve individual results.
  • Develop and maintain potential customers in the selected markets and applications.
  • Develop and execute customer and market strategies.
  • Develop rapport with selected customers to understand their needs and unmet needs.
  • Act as a problem solver.
  • Develop and identify new business opportunities/projects.
  • Work with internal technical teams to recommend appropriate solutions that address the customers’ needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Generate, coordinate, and lead internal and external cross-functional collaboration.
  • Develop appropriate strategies including market analysis to address competition.
  • Provide progress and metrics reports to management on projects in a timely manner.
  • Grow and assist in retaining existing accounts.
  • Attend and represent the company at industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends within the selected segments and TPE industry.
  • Align with colleagues in the global organization concerning global product launch/rollout initiatives.
  • Present to and consult with senior-level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Participate in the strategic planning, innovation, and product development processes to assist in the product pipeline development.
  • Complete other work assigned by management.
