The company is seeking a seasoned hotel sales professional with a passion for hospitality and guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, capable of professionally representing the hotel and closing business. The Sales Manager's primary objective is to solicit and handle group inquiries for the Corporate, Association, and Government markets, including room blocks, meeting space, and catering. This role thrives in a highly team-oriented sales environment, ensuring all revenue goals are met and customer expectations are exceeded. Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years hotel sales manager experience in Full-Service hotel(s).
  • Must have experience in group room bookings, catering sales and meeting/event coordination.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in Sales & Marketing, Hospitality, Business, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Hilton brand experience and thorough knowledge of Delphi.fdc a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Solicit, negotiate and generate contracted revenues from volume prospects that meet criteria established in the hotel business plan.
  • Accurately and professionally prepare specific and customized proposals, so that both client and hotel receive a good value.
  • Prospect for new contract business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, attending community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, and Knowland.
  • Manage and maintain an accurate and up-to-date contact management system.
  • Negotiate and close contracts that meet the hotel's business plan objectives. Desired arrival, departure and volume patterns must be met.
  • Internally communicate client requirements, thereby insuring all information is accurate between client and hotel staff.
  • Coordinate and participate in target market trade shows and sales blitzes.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and maintain competitor files in order to be able to compete successfully.
  • Maintain good rapport with local civic groups and companies and engage/participate in meetings and events to represent the hotel.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed
