Dominant CBS/ABC combo serving the Tri-Cities, Tennessee and Virginia communities is looking for a Sales Manager. This amazing community is home to the Birthplace of Country Music, Bristol Motor Speedway, a Hard Rock Hotel and & Casino plus World Class Hiking and Fishing. The team has been a part of the fabric of the community for more than 70 years and is a LEADER in delivering local content to viewers. The position is responsible for the revenue performance of Local Account Executives and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets across all outlets. This is not a desk job; the manager is expected to be out in the field daily with Account Executives training, coaching, and executing Customer Needs Analysis, Proposal Solutions, and Monthly Business Reviews. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, mass communications, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • A minimum of five years of Digital and or Broadcast sales experience
  • Successful track record in business development
  • Successful track record in selling sports sponsorships
  • Successful track record in growing market share
  • Successful track record in employee recruitment
  • Successful track record in employee retention
  • Successful track record in sales training
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Fluent in English
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation
  • Experience guiding, directing, and motivating personnel; including setting and monitoring performance standards
  • Experience establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them
  • Ability to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the revenue performance of our Local Account Executives
  • Exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets across all outlets
  • Be out in the field daily with Account Executives training, coaching, and executing Customer Needs Analysis, Proposal Solutions, and Monthly Business Reviews
  • Develops and executes sales strategies which result in exceeding assigned revenue budgets
  • Drives new business advancement
  • Manages inventory and revenue forecasting
  • Manages recruitment, training, evaluation, and development of Broadcast/Digital Account Executives
  • Manages Accounts Receivable
  • Develops and cultivates client relationships both local and national
  • Makes decisions regarding hiring, evaluation, promotion, and termination of employees
  • Develops Advertising Packages
  • Performs other duties as assigned
