LBI National Golf & Resort is seeking an experienced and ambitious Sales Manager to join our team of professionals. The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role on the management team, responsible for delivering the exceptional service, quality, and profitability of a luxury resort while embodying the VIVAMEE values. You will facilitate the sale of rooms, room blocks, golf packages, and events while maximizing opportunities for exposure and growth. Your ability to effectively communicate with guests, clients, and vendors in a memorable and engaging manner in order to solicit business, meet client needs, and resolve objections is crucial. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales roles within the hospitality industry in lieu of degree
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory/management role within the hospitality industry
  • An exceptional eye for detail surrounding event execution, hospitality culture, venue conditions, and required human capital skill sets
  • Proven sales ability & success
  • Ability to interpret financial and operating reports and plan/budget with financial staff
  • Excellent written and verbal skills for client, employee, and vendor interactions
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with leadership teams to optimize client experience, productivity, and financial results
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, schedule, and follow-through with appointments for guests to view our facilities and give an overview of our packages and resort options
  • Determine and confirm availability of event space, lodging, and food and beverage needs
  • Create proposals based on needs, interests, and expectations of guests, encompassing all facets of the resort
  • Write multi-layered contracts and agreements covering all aspects of an event/event weekend
  • Drive hotel revenue through strategic sales of guestrooms, catering services, meeting space, and events
  • Develop and maintain a strong client base including corporate, association, government, and social group accounts
  • Lead and participate in hotel tours, client meetings, and site visits
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and meeting planners
  • Negotiate guest room rates, function space, and services within approved guidelines
  • Accurately document sales activities, bookings, forecasts, and cancellations
  • Collaborate with hotel leadership on marketing and sales strategies
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Sales team
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel, and review competition
  • Solicit and review client, guest, and manager feedback
  • Stay current on all trends to remain competitive within the event industry and ensure continuous improvement
  • Ensure events are executed at the highest standards set by resort protocol
  • Assist with training and mentoring team members when necessary
  • Follow all standard operating VIVAMEE procedures (SOPs)
  • Performs other duties as assigned
