St Julien Hotel & Spa is in search of a dynamic and service-oriented Sales Manager to join our team! Our ideal candidate should be a should be a seasoned Sales professional with a refined understanding of high-end service, a passion for creating exceptional and personalized guest experiences, and a proven ability to drive and maximize group revenue.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ Sales experience at a luxury, full-service hotel is required. Previous experience at a Four Star and/or Four Diamond property is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in sales, negotiations, and business writing/presentation.
  • General computer knowledge and proficiency using MS Office products is required.
  • Must be able to hear, speak, read, and write English fluently; Spanish-language ability is a plus but not required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on occasion as needed.
  • Must have open and flexible availability and be able to work on-site (vs. remotely). Typical workweek is Monday – Friday, however schedule may fluctuate based on contracted events and/or scheduled appointments.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and book guest rooms, meeting space, and other Hotel-related services.
  • Respond to client inquiries/concerns in an effective and timely manner. This may include telephone inquiries, RFP bids, proposals, booking confirmations, and “thank you”/follow-up letters.
  • Conduct outside sales calls to cultivate existing customers and develop new business through prospecting efforts.
  • Prepare and present effective proposals and maintain well-organized files and reports.
  • Plan and conduct site visits and pre-planning meetings with clients and meeting planners in order to produce successful events.
  • Communicate all pertinent information on group requirements within acceptable timeframes to appropriate departments regarding upcoming group needs, VIP clients, billing procedures, etc.
  • Develop strong customer relationships through frequent communication and the use of professional, courteous, and ethical interpersonal interactions.
  • Meet or exceed established sales goals and profit margins.
  • Actively participate in weekly revenue meetings.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of industry/trends in-market.
  • Attend and represent the Hotel at various industry events, trade shows, etc.
  • Work effectively with other departments to ensure that potential issues are addressed and resolved quickly and without interrupting the guests’ experience.
  • Maximize profits and comply with all Sales standard operating procedures.
  • Other duties as requested by Director of Sales.
