About The Position

We are currently hiring a Sales Manager for 7-Eleven.  The territory will oversee the Mid-Atlantic: VA & NY. The ideal candidate will live in VA. The Sales Manager is responsible for increasing availability and visibility of the Boston Beer portfolio of brands within their assigned retailer to generate depletion growth while adding value to our wholesaler and the BBC geo team. This coworker will align with Sales Leaders to execute the programs in their respective footprint. In addition, assist in developing the entire Off Premise class of trade. Please note that while this position is listed as “working remotely”, our sales positions are field based and require you to live within the territory listed to visit accounts, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Requirements

  • 4+ years sales and/or food/beverage industry experience
  • Wholesaler management or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Adult alcohol industry experience strongly preferred
  • National account management experience

Responsibilities

  • Be proficient in BBC's systems and selling process with retailers, wholesalers, and team of indirect reports
  • Be proficient in beer industry knowledge, brewing, and BBC product styles
  • Hunt for new business opportunities while growing current business within your Retailer groups while managing budgets to proper ROI
  • Utilize effective verbal and written communication with wholesaler, accounts, and coworkers including ability to deliver impactful presentations
  • Maintain and strengthen buyer & wholesaler relationships through strategic selling and superior customer service
  • Develop & drive Goals, Strategies, Objectives and Tactics for defined account base
  • Effectively mobilize wholesaler network and BBC sales teams to fulfill all BBC mandates, sell vs. authorizations/approved packages, compliance issues, focus timeframes and other key selling opportunities
  • Work closely with category management team to develop insights, analysis, and tools to drive business within the off-premise channel
