About The Position

The Sales Manager develops and grows a high-potential territory by building strong relationships with current and prospective customers, driving revenue through proactive field sales, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires a strategic, hands-on sales professional who thrives in a largely remote environment with regular travel, and who is motivated by the opportunity to significantly expand a historically underdeveloped territory.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of construction sales experience or manufacturing sales experience.
  • Proven success in sales, including territory development and revenue growth.
  • Strong account management skills with the ability to maintain and expand customer relationships.
  • Experience conducting outbound sales calls and in-person sales meetings.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability and willingness to travel with a flexible schedule based on business needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular field travel within the assigned region.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with prospective customers to grow the territory.
  • Spend approximately 50% of work time selling in the field, meeting customers on-site, and actively promoting products and services.
  • Increase overall sales and revenue by executing proactive outbound sales calls and in-person visits.
  • Gather detailed customer information and feedback on services to better understand needs, trends, and opportunities.
  • Increase customer satisfaction by promptly addressing concerns and resolving complaints in accordance with company policies.
  • Continuously monitor the territory’s performance and identify strategies to restore and surpass previous revenue levels.
  • Manage accounts effectively by maintaining regular contact, following up on quotes, and ensuring timely responses to customer requests.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools to prepare reports, track activities, and communicate effectively with internal teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure customers receive appropriate support, pricing, and service.
  • Plan and manage travel schedules efficiently to maximize time in the field and coverage of the territory.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times, demonstrating strong communication and relationship-building skills.
