Join Our Team as a Sales Manager – C. Harper Auto Group The C. Harper Auto Group is currently seeking an Experienced and Passionate Sales Manager to lead our high-performing team at our Ford / KIA dealership . As part of our growing organization of over 400 employees, you’ll be stepping into a key leadership role with a company that has proudly served the Greater Pittsburgh and Tri-State Areas for over 41 years. The ideal candidate is a seasoned automotive leader with a passion for driving results, a commitment to team development, and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer care. Ford or KIA brand experience is strongly preferred , but not required.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of automotive sales management experience with a proven track record of success.
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and hold team members accountable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and staff.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and performance coaching.
  • In-depth understanding of automotive sales processes and customer engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with OEM programs, financing, and digital retail tools.
  • Experience with trade-in evaluation and deal structuring.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, dealer management systems (DMS), and CRM software.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

  • Ford or KIA experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development Lead, train, and motivate a team of Sales Consultants to achieve individual and department goals.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-morale environment focused on performance, growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance reviews.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution Develop sales strategies aligned with manufacturer programs and dealership objectives.
  • Monitor daily sales activity, manage the sales funnel, and implement action plans to exceed targets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop brand-specific promotions and advertising.
  • Customer Relationship Management Ensure a seamless, customer-first experience from initial contact to final delivery.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Support Sales Consultants in presenting new and pre-owned vehicles, emphasizing value and features.
  • Operational & Inventory Management Oversee daily sales floor operations with a focus on efficiency and excellence.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and work with the purchasing team to ensure optimal vehicle mix.
  • Uphold compliance with all manufacturer programs, policies, and local regulations.
  • Financial Performance Develop department budgets and track monthly sales forecasts, P&L, and gross margins.
  • Implement strategies to boost revenue and profitability while managing expenses effectively.
  • Prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership.
