The Sales Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the sales department. This responsibility includes the management, leadership, and development of the account sales representatives and the district sales staff. Job Description: Communicate the vision, goals and objectives of the company to all employees in the sales department. Develop and execute the training program and ensure new and regular employees are effectively trained. Provide leadership to the sales department to achieve the goals and objectives of the company and individual territories. Analyze internal and external costs and make effective decisions to ensure that the profitability of the company is maintained or increased according to the direction of the President and/or the Vice President of Sales. Review existing processes , data, trends and staffing, and make recommendations to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Create and maintain a team-centric environment within and between departments. Ensure that the policies, procedures, and quality management system are implemented effectively , and continual improvement is promoted within the department and the company. Must travel with district sales staff as an ongoing training/development plan of each individual to maintain energy, vision, marketing knowledge, sales abilities, and personal sales skills. Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales growth. Provide a short and long-term sales budget/forecast to ensure fiscal responsibility within the other departments of the company.
