About The Position

This position is responsible for driving revenue growth through both individual contributions for assigned accounts and via the development and execution of account strategies for both their accounts and their directly report assigned Business Development Managers performance. This will translate to top line and bottom-line revenue targets being achieved. This position will manage customer relationships, support & help develop strategic initiatives and execution to include strategies associated with contractual award opportunities, account mapping, new market or product targets, pricing, account assignment and distribution and through the development of strong business relationships with key decision makers in the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Management, Engineering or similar field, required.
  • 10+ years prior experience in sales, specializing in the battery, energy, consumer.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Advanced Engineering degree, preferred.
  • Prior battery experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, Oracle and CRM tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and maintains key account oversight through independent contributions and sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue objectives.
  • Manages assigned sales/business development team in support of attainment of the top and bottom-line corporate objectives.
  • Drives strategic sales process to include account mapping, sales touchpoint cadence, extended team awareness and account visibility/involvement.
  • Develops and submits timely sales forecasts and territory analysis and cooperates with management in setting adequate sales quotas and goal.
  • Assures strong account and territory strategies are in place by Business Development Managers and executed to achieve sales goals.
  • Helps to establish and execute annual revenue and sales expense budget.
  • Develops & manages sales strategy for achieving fiscal year revenue budget and has responsibilities for supporting the sales expense budget.
  • Manages funnel/pipeline to achieve sales and growth objectives, along with key sales activities (e.g. prospecting and deal management win/loss).
  • Initiates and fosters teamwork within the team and with other teams to create and maintain an environment of partnership, accountability, quality service, and superior sales results.
  • Supports negotiations, coordinates complex decision-making processes, and overcomes objections to capture new business opportunities.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction and identifies problems, risks, and exposures to ensure strategies are in place to resolve any potential customer service issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
