The role is responsible for executing the sales strategy for Industrial Energy Accounts, which includes sectors such as Oil & Gas, Utilities, and Water/Wastewater. The candidate will develop new leads and market opportunities to ensure a robust opportunity pipeline, execute commercial strategies, and leverage solution selling techniques to manage the sales process from start to finish. Building strong relationships with the services team and customers is crucial, as is managing sales opportunities through CRM and providing market insights to the marketing and business teams. The role requires travel up to 50% of the time to various locations.

  • Meet quota and sales revenue targets created by sales management.
  • Be responsible for the execution of the sales strategy for Industrial Energy Accounts.
  • Ensure the development of new leads and market opportunities in the territory.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategy within the accounts.
  • Leverage solution selling techniques to qualify leads and manage the sales process.
  • Conduct needs analysis to determine engagement models for resources.
  • Build strong working relationships with the services team.
  • Manage sales opportunities for new and existing accounts through CRM.
  • Work with customers to determine their requirements and appropriate solutions.
  • Outline, present, and sell the value of offerings to customers.
  • Influence specifications and close key deals with customers.
  • Develop and cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organizations.
  • Partner with peers and management to enhance selling techniques.
  • Leverage existing distributor channels and manufacturer sales managers.
  • Develop sufficient technical expertise in the company's offerings.
  • Provide deep market segment knowledge and expertise.
  • Provide market dynamics input such as competitive intelligence.
  • Make effective customer presentations at all levels of customer organizations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional sales and support departments.
  • Define and build relationships with key decision makers.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, relationship management, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally.
  • Must have three years of sales experience.
  • Knowledge of IIoT, sensors, automation, controls, and instrumentation.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
