The Megapack Sales Team focuses on the sale of battery energy storage (BESS) equipment to customers including electric utilities, independent power producers, and renewable energy developers. Projects are typically large, utility-scale BESS deployments that provide capacity, grid services, or integration of renewables to the grid. The Megapack business has grown exponentially in recent years and is well positioned for significant additional growth, becoming a substantial part of Tesla’s overall business. This is a dynamic customer-facing role supporting every aspect of the sales cycle from account management to technical diligence, to contract negotiation. The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role supporting a team of Sales leads. This position is responsible for coordinating and enabling projects from initial engagement to contract execution while working with Tesla’s commercial and technical support organizations. This role will involve a mix of internal and external task management and project management responsibilities. Internally, diverse project teams comprised of engineering, finance, legal and other disciplines will need to be coordinated to achieve sales goals. Externally, customer relationships are built and managed, contracts are negotiated and closed.
