The Impact You Will Make The Sales Manager Specialist (SMS) is responsible for supporting the Area Vice Presidents, General Manager’s and Sales Counselors when there is a Sales Manager (SM) vacancy. This role will act as the SM where there is an SM vacancy and will execute that role until a new SM is hired. The Specialist will be responsible for regular SM duties, with a high emphasis on staffing and training for the time period that they are assigned to that market. Working directly with General Managers in their assigned market, the Specialist will train and assist the Sales Counselors with the sales process, CRM utilization, on and off-site events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in sales management role.
  • Experience working within a matrix organization.
  • Experience in multi-site management and prioritization.
  • Proven track record for obtaining business results through the development of effective relationships within the organization and across other business functions.
  • Requires analytic ability and independent judgment to devise new methods in situations where previously accepted methods have proven inadequate.
  • Ability to develop new and effective methods of increasing sales in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively use PowerPoint, Word, Excel and CRM
  • This position has a travel requirement of 100% of the time to your supporting markets.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the attainment of assigned revenue budgets by overseeing production and goal setting at all locations, driving sales events, coaching to price integrity and helping to identify and convert premium sales.
  • Provide direction and coaching to maximize sales using the CRM System; manage and hold Sales Counselors accountable for achieving key sales metrics.
  • Train Sales Counselors in assigned markets on event execution, sales closing, CRM usage, and business development fostering Everstory Sales programs to ensure the best possible results with current and potential customers; provide coaching to overcome objections and remove obstacles.
  • Hold daily morning sales huddles with Sales Counselors for training and accountability; review prior day’s results and appointments daily as well as the appointments for the week ahead to provide direction on issues that may have occurred.
  • Provide daily coaching and counseling to all Sales Counselors on the team to increase conversions in all business lines and ensure the highest quality of treatment of all customers.
  • Regularly communicate with other departments to ensure seamless support of location needs.
  • Schedule all Sales Counselors on a regular or rotating basis, to provide location coverage and coverage for prospecting that meets the needs of the customer.
  • Responsible for the hiring, performance management, promotion and termination of assigned Sales Counselors, ensuring company policies are adhered to in all HR actions.
  • Ensure Sales Counselors are providing clients with all options and services available, including a defined park tour of the cemetery.
