About The Position

The Google Cloud Small/Medium Businesses (SMB) team focuses on working with small and medium-sized businesses. As an SMB Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to help transform how SMB organizations operate. You'll build and manage a team of sales representatives, working to drive awareness, adoption and business growth for Google’s public cloud. You'll also participate in all aspects of building the business, including attainment of assigned objectives, business planning, demand generation, customer engagement, and at-scale marketing activities.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in technology related sales or business development at a business-to-business (B2B) software company.
  • 3 years of experience in coaching, mentoring, or developing team members.
  • Experience in sales management and delivering against sales attainment goals.

  • Experience analyzing and presenting business performance data.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks with shifting priorities and varying deadlines.
  • Experience in technology sales focused on breaking into accounts and working on net new customer acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of SMB sellers to acquire new Google Cloud customers, achieve team goals to maximize business growth by focusing on motivating, enabling and developing the team to be successful.
  • Manage the business operation to function at scale, prioritizing methods to operate more efficiently while maintaining high-touch customer engagement.
  • Manage a weekly forecasting cadence through detailed pipeline reviews.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on progress against quarterly goals.
  • Coach, develop and maintain a high-performing culture that attracts and retains talent.
  • Manage productive relationships with business development, marketing leaders, and representatives as well as our partner ecosystem, to drive strategy and execution.
