About The Position

MarketStar is seeking an experienced Sales Manager – Reddit Special Projects to lead and scale multiple sales and post-sale motions supporting Reddit. This role will oversee three distinct but interconnected functions : Mid-Market Account Management Channel Partner / Senior Account Management Measurement & Performance Strategy The Sales Manager will be responsible for team performance, client outcomes, revenue growth, and operational excellence across all three motions. This leader will act as the connective tissue between sellers, measurement experts, partners, and Reddit stakeholders—ensuring strategy turns into execution and execution turns into results. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong sales acumen, analytical thinking, and the ability to coach across varying levels of technical depth. Location: Hybrid – Ogden, UT (Ability to support global teams and time zones as needed)

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading sales, account management, or revenue teams in a digital advertising or B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing, measurement, and advertising platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple motions and skill sets under a single operating model.
  • Experience owning forecasts, revenue targets, and performance outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategy and action.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with incomplete information.
  • Ability to work across time zones and support global teams as needed.
  • Experience with CRM tools and data-driven reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Coaching Lead, coach, and develop a multi-disciplinary team spanning account management, channel partnerships, and measurement specialists.
  • Set clear expectations, performance standards, and development plans tailored to each role and motion.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, skill coaching, and career development conversations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Revenue & Performance Ownership Own performance outcomes across managed teams, including revenue retention, growth, upsell, and advertiser success.
  • Ensure teams consistently hit daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets.
  • Review pipelines, forecasts, and performance trends; identify risks and course-correct early.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align targets, resourcing, and strategy.
  • Client & Partner Strategy Serve as an escalation point for high-impact client, advertiser, or partner challenges.
  • Ensure teams deliver strong campaign execution, optimization, and measurement outcomes.
  • Drive strategic account planning across mid-market, channel partners, and performance-driven advertisers.
  • Translate client feedback, product gaps, and market insights into actionable recommendations for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Measurement, Insights & Optimization Oversee the Measurement Specialist function to ensure data-driven recommendations are embedded into sales and account workflows.
  • Ensure insights, testing frameworks, and best practices are documented and scaled.
  • Guide teams in translating performance data into clear, actionable narratives for advertisers and partners.
  • Ensure measurement rigor across attribution, KPIs, and performance benchmarks.
  • Operational Excellence Build and maintain scalable processes across sales motions, including forecasting, reporting, QBRs, and internal business reviews.
  • Partner with Sales Ops, Ad Ops, and Reddit stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and issue resolution.
  • Ensure CRM hygiene, reporting accuracy, and standardized workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, tooling, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Management Act as a trusted leader to internal MarketStar teams and external Reddit stakeholders.
  • Align closely with Reddit counterparts on strategy, priorities, and performance.
  • Lead internal and external meetings including QBRs, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively across teams, levels, and time zones.
