About The Position

The Sales Manager at Koons Tysons Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is responsible for overseeing the sales department, building customer relationships, and managing inventory. This role involves training sales staff, closing sales, and ensuring the smooth operation of the sales process. The Sales Manager will also handle vehicle procurement and maintain relationships with vendors and service departments.

Requirements

  • Prior sales consultant and F&I manager experience required.
  • 3-5 years of automotive experience required.
  • Ability to create and maintain customer relationships.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of business with professionalism.
  • Experience and ability to handle conflict resolution.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft suite products and dealer management systems.
  • Ability to build relationships with local and national vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with employees and customers to develop relationships and bridge disconnects in the sales process.
  • Build rapport with customers to establish a base of referrals.
  • Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing sales.
  • Manage all aspects of the sales department and inventory lot.
  • Order and purchase vehicles for the new car inventory lot and buy used cars from auction or off lease.
  • Work with lot attendants to ensure all vehicles are properly tagged and positioned.
  • Conduct trade appraisals and input information into the vehicle management system.
  • Desk deals, track revenue logs, and manage retail delivery reports.
  • Stay within turn policy guidelines for inventory.
  • Partner with third-party vendors and the service department for internal service work on used vehicles.
  • Prepare and administer the annual forecast and budget for the new vehicle department.
  • Administer and monitor factory-sponsored programs.
