About The Position

Anderson Auto is looking for a sales manager to join our team. The sales manager is responsible for helping customers and product specialists and oversees the operations in the sales department. This is an important job that directly contributes to the success of business operations. Qualifications Summary/Objective The sales manager is responsible for directing and coordinating all activities within the sales department, ensuring product specialists are thoroughly trained and available to customers, leading by example, encouraging assistant sales managers, product specialists, and other team members to provide outstanding customer service to increase sales. Essential Functions Manages trade-ins, sales, and delivery of new and used vehicles. Keep a vehicle and sales history log. Using appropriate procedures for management, facilitates the Sales Department to generate expected levels vehicle sales. Generates expected levels of gross and net profit. Meets budgeted revenue and expense goals. Establishes sales quotas for all Product Specialists, which meet their individual skill levels. Prepares financial figures for retail customer’s car deals (desking car deals), putting together a financial proposal for a retail consumer to review. Utilizes V-Auto to accurately appraise customer trade-ins. Supervises and runs all operations involving new and used vehicles. Devises appropriate sales forecasts. Stays current with sales management through skilled use of appropriate computer systems. Maintains processes to complete all paperwork correctly and on time. Keeps a balanced new inventory in relation to sales. Makes sure the dealership has an appealing showroom, set up with vehicles and accessories to draw the interest of customers. Must rotate showroom stock regularly to excite and entice customers to buy from us. Recommend rotation every 7-10 days. Ensures all assistant sales managers and product specialists are effectively utilizing VinSolutions, our chosen Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution. Supervises employees to ensure that facilities are clean, organized, and efficient. Maintains active programs to follow up sales. Attends pertinent training as available to keep current with sales department concerns and sales techniques. Proactively works to create and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all team members. Performs all duties in a safe manner, immediately reporting any accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions to management and/or the human resources department. Shows up for work, ready and able to perform essential job functions. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices. Perform other tasks as required. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of related sales management experience preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience of Finance & Insurance (F&I) preferred.
  • Knowledge of financing lenders, based on customer credit reports, determining Loan-T0-Value (LTV), to structure retail deals properly.
