We are seeking a proactive, organized, and revenue-driven Sales Manager & Group Sales Coordinator to support group and corporate sales growth at our property. Position Overview: In this role, you'll help drive group, corporate, and catering sales through proactive outreach, relationship building, and strategic planning. The Sales Manager & Group Sales Coordinator is responsible for driving group room revenue and supporting corporate transient growth through detailed coordination of group bookings and collaborating with on-site teams to ensure a seamless guest experience. This role is ideal for someone who understands hotel group sales, thrives in a performance-driven environment, and enjoys both proactive selling and detailed follow-through. You will work directly with the Area Director of Sales and work in partnership with the on-site Catering & Events Coordinator.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hotel sales experience preferred (Hilton or branded experience is a plus)
  • College degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
  • Passion for hospitality, sales strategy, and relationship building
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to close the deal
  • Team player attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexible availability to support business demands (evenings, weekends, events)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Sacramento market or similar destination markets is a big plus
  • Experience with STS, Delphi, and/or other CRM systems

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit and secure group business, corporate travel, and catering contracts that drive top-line revenue.
  • Develop and grow local corporate transient accounts
  • Conduct outside sales calls and local business development outreach
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and meet activity goals
  • Partner with the Area Director of Sales on pricing and strategy
  • Manage group bookings from inquiry through room block execution
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and group resumes
  • Communicate group details to front desk and operations teams
  • Monitor pickup, rooming lists, and block adjustments
  • Ensure accurate CRM documentation and reporting
  • Maintain accurate records in STS, Delphi, or applicable CRM
  • Track production, prospecting activity, and pipeline status
  • Submit required sales reports on time
  • Participate in revenue and sales strategy meetings
  • Support marketing efforts and community engagement initiatives
