About The Position

The Sales Manager - Core Histology for Leica Biosystems is responsible for developing and executing a successful sales strategy and plan for rapid revenue growth and market share expansion across the region. They are also responsible for leading a team of sales representatives to exceed Leica Biosystems' sales goals and deliver on commercial strategies. This position is part of the Commercial Team and will be remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives. You will be a part of the Commercial team and report to the Vice President - Commercial North America. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years relevant sales experience
  • Prior management experience
  • Prior capital sales experience
  • Contract negotiation/high level selling experience or selling in a matrixed environment
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Education: Degree in Life Sciences or Master's Degree in Business/MBA
  • Diagnostics, Life Science and/or Pathology experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed the region's quarterly and annual sales quota, strategic and unit sales mix objectives, profit goal and market share goals.
  • Provide direction, leadership, coaching and mentoring for direct sales representatives.
  • Advance the professional development, professional conduct, sales effectiveness and efficiency of associates.
  • Recruit, develop, and train sales representatives and specialists with clearly communicated sales and overall performance standards.
  • Forecast monthly revenue projections utilizing the company CRM (Salesforce.com).
  • Drive standard work to funnel management process in CRM (Salesforce.com).
  • Develop, solidify and maintain high-level relationships within key accounts in assigned geography.
  • Achieve and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance.
