28 Event Space is seeking two dynamic Sales Managers to lead our sales efforts for our two popular event spaces located in downtown Kansas City. The Kansas City Room, which accommodates up to 300 guests, features a vintage vibe with modern amenities, including a custom mural celebrating Kansas City, a full bar, and two well-appointed suites for couples. The space also boasts a large patio with garage doors that open into the venue, along with a fully equipped catering prep kitchen and a dedicated loading area. The Station Room, which can host up to 200 guests, offers a slick urban feel with a full bar, catering prep kitchen, and a loft area with two suites for couples, complemented by a large outdoor deck and patio for entertaining. Each venue has its own spacious, fenced parking lot for guests. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for exceeding sales performance expectations and assisting in the operations of the event division. Your role will involve maximizing long-term growth, performance, and profitability for both event spaces, executing priorities set by the Sales Director and Catering Director, and maintaining operational standards across all outlets under your control. You will manage events from planning and selling to execution, ensuring a seamless experience from setup to conclusion and follow-up. Coaching and mentoring employees during events will be a key part of your responsibilities, as well as acting as a liaison between the company and the event staff. You will also be tasked with developing and continuously improving event programs and procedures, assisting with culinary tasks as needed, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in all areas, including the event office, restrooms, storage areas, and kitchen, will be essential. Additionally, you will oversee equipment and facility maintenance programs to promote longevity and ensure a positive work environment. Your leadership will help establish and maintain excellent service, quality products, and cleanliness across all units and equipment under your management.
