We seek a passionate, customer-focused, and results-driven Sales Lead to support store leadership in driving sales, creating meaningful connections, and delivering an exceptional shopping experience. Requirements

  • 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in women’s specialty retail.
  • Passion for customer service and building meaningful relationships.
  • Strong ability to support, inspire, and motivate a team.
  • Proven track record of contributing to sales and customer engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing/pulling and maneuvering around store, hang/fold merchandise, ladder climbing, operate POS registers and other company mobile devices, occasionally operate trash compactor (where applicable), occasionally use hand truck, lift and carry up to 42lbs, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement & Community Building: Act as a role model by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships through genuine interactions. Support community engagement initiatives to strengthen brand presence.
  • Team Support & Leadership: Assist in training and developing team members, leading by example, and providing coaching and support to ensure team success.
  • Sales & Business Development: Help drive store performance by identifying customer needs, providing personalized styling recommendations, and contributing to achieving sales targets.
  • Product & Brand Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of J. Jill’s products to support customers in making confident purchasing decisions.
  • Operational Excellence: Assist with store operations, including opening and closing store, visual merchandising, inventory management, and adherence to company policies.
  • Accountability & Problem-Solving: Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, proactively address challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, and support leadership in maintaining elevated customer experience.
  • Communication & Adaptability: Navigate various communication settings across different levels of the organization, adjusting messaging to fit diverse audiences.
