About The Position

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Sales Intern to join our team. This 8 to 12 week paid internship is designed for students or recent graduates interested in building a career in B2B sales within the consumer products distribution industry. Interns will gain hands-on experience through a blend of office-based learning and field travel, working directly with sales managers, merchandising teams, and sales representatives across the Midwest region. If you’re outgoing, business-minded, and eager to learn how products move from warehouse to retail shelves, we encourage you to apply. Pay: $19.23/hour

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or related field
  • Strong interest in sales, account management, and customer-facing roles
  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally within the Midwest
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • High energy, confidence, and professionalism in customer-facing environments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced, dynamic settings
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow professionally
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and reliability
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements

Responsibilities

  • Shadow sales representatives and sales managers in the field and during customer meetings
  • Support merchandising initiatives and in-store execution efforts
  • Assist with sales presentations, customer proposals, and product sell-in materials
  • Participate in customer visits, ride-alongs, and regional travel across the Midwest
  • Support sales reporting, account tracking, and opportunity analysis
  • Assist with promotional planning and execution support
  • Collaborate with category management, marketing, and operations teams
  • Participate in trade shows, sales meetings, and customer events as assigned
  • Support onboarding of new accounts and product launches
  • Prepare recaps, summaries, and internal reports
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in internal systems
  • Perform additional sales and administrative duties as assigned
