About The Position

The Sales Intern will participate in comprehensive new hire training and support all aspects of LexisNexis Risk Solutions. Interns help build qualified sales opportunities for our sales teams. Your role will be to prospect and develop additional business leads for our Sales Executives through, but not limited to, outbound cold-calling efforts and email campaigns. The summer intern will create specific prospect lists by industry and will use LinkedIn Navigator to cold call, email, and InMail to secure an appointment with our sales team. The Sales intern will also attend client calls with the sales team.

Requirements

  • Be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field of study with a graduation date of May 2027.
  • Experience in sales is highly valued.
  • Be able to articulate business benefits and functionality of software solutions quickly.
  • Demonstrate ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a rapidly moving setting.
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Showcase an enthusiasm for sales and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Researching and building cold accounts through outbound cold-calling efforts and email campaigns.
  • Conducting consultative training exercises to develop fundamental selling skills, product knowledge, and more.
  • Qualifying prospects via phone and email, and identifying key decision-makers and business pain points.
  • Utilizing CRM to record activities, route leads, and coordinate SAO management processes.
  • Transforming Marketing Leads to Sales Opportunities by educating and motivating prospective buyers.
  • Improving technical selling skills and product knowledge for effective presentations to potential customers.
  • Providing excellent prospects and customer experiences.
