About The Position

The Sales Internship Program at UnitedHealth Group offers a growth-based culture with extraordinary opportunities for interns to develop while working as a team to strengthen the health care system. This is a full-time paid in-person internship position starting on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. The program includes a comprehensive training curriculum focused on the Medicare business, networking opportunities, technical skills training, and exposure to the sales process and health insurance market. Interns will gain essential soft skills and have the opportunity for continued part-time employment after the internship.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university during the internship.
  • Must be a rising Senior during the summer of 2026.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Point.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 10-week internship program with structured training on the Medicare business.
  • Engage in networking opportunities and enrichment activities throughout the summer program.
  • Develop selling and presentation skills through competitions, simulated practice, and job shadowing.
  • Gain exposure to the end-to-end sales process and the Direct-to-Consumer Sales model.
  • Support agent interactions by assisting with inquiries and providing relevant information.
