The internship program at Park Place Technologies is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive introduction to the sales process within the IT organization. Interns will have the opportunity to network and build relationships with professionals in the field, applying their learned knowledge to effectively overcome objections and engage potential customers. The program emphasizes the importance of utilizing sales cycles, including cold-calling and leveraging social selling tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and email outreach. Interns will also develop skills in using a professional CRM database, which is essential for tracking leads and managing customer relationships. On a day-to-day basis, interns will participate in weekly training sessions covering various sales methodologies, mock call sessions, and skills training. They will engage in prospecting techniques to connect with potential new customers, utilizing CRM software and other tools to generate leads for Account Managers. Research and continuous prospecting for lead generation will be key components of their responsibilities. Interns will also coordinate and participate in client-facing conference calls, ensuring excellent customer service to maintain positive business relationships. Collaboration with Account Managers and other sales staff is crucial, as effective communication within the team will enhance overall performance. Additionally, interns will have the chance to join team-building events and participate in weekly activities and assignments, fostering a sense of community and teamwork. The internship program is metrics-driven, with expectations set for interns to make 40-60 cold calls per day, engage in 5 meaningful conversations, and schedule or complete at least 1 conference call daily. This structure not only provides a clear framework for success but also helps interns develop a strong work ethic and resilience in the face of challenges.
