We will teach you the ropes on the strategies, processes and systems used by manufacturers to initiate, grow and maintain their partnerships with the biggest names in the retail world. This condensed, 12-week program will offer you a glimpse into how Private Label manufacturers partner with U.S. grocery, club, and mass chains to deliver compelling value in the marketplace. The first two weeks will be spent at the New Berlin, Wisconsin manufacturing location learning from the Project and Account Management teams on how projects are chartered after receiving launch approval from a retail customer, and then how orders are fulfilled to keep the retailers' shelves fully stocked. The next two weeks will be spent at the company's Northern Virginia corporate office, learning under the Presidents of the Food and Beverage divisions. The focus during this time period will be observing communications and negotiations with retail buyers, participating in the product development process, and learning the basics of costing and pricing. The last eight weeks of the internship will be spent back at the New Berlin facility managing a retail project from start-to-finish alongside the Project Management team.
