About The Position

This position is responsible for conducting the daily operations of Hope’s Closet Thrift store and Donation Center while providing leadership to all staff, volunteers and community service workers and maintaining a clean, well-organized store. The Sales Floor Manager is a good steward for all loss prevention issues including employee safety. Essential Duties The following are the duties and responsibilities associated with the position. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • At least two years of customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer minimum of two years management/leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of maintaining the sales floor.
  • Coordinates and assists in training Sales Floor staff.
  • Promotes positive customer and donor care throughout the store.
  • Make sure all policies and procedures are understood and followed by staff.
  • Report security and loss prevention concerns to Regional Managers.
  • Responsible for cultivating best practices with the goal of consistent operations including donor relations.
  • Responsible for seasonal storage policies, stock rotation, and seasonal changeover.
  • Works closely with the Regional Managers to make sure the store meets monthly goals.
  • Responsible for a clean, safe, and well-maintained store.
  • Coordinates effective coverage with Regional Managers.
  • Occasionally cover open shifts and work outside of scheduled hours.
  • Prepare and transport daily deposits and other bank transactions.
  • Attend all required staff meetings and training opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned by Regional Managers
  • Oversee staff timekeeping, including scheduling, time submission for payroll, and time off requests.
  • Provide regular and ongoing encouraging and critical feedback necessary for staff team members to grow and develop.
  • Oversee and apply corrective action fairly.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews
  • Respond to telephones, written correspondence, and other auditory and visual stimulation.
  • Remain calm under stress and have the emotional and physical stamina to deal with a variety of stressful situations.
  • Frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, and walk.
  • Frequently lift and carry items of at least 40 pounds.
  • Occasionally climb stairs or inclined surfaces.
  • Occasionally work outside during night hours and/or inclement weather.
  • Must be able to travel to fulfill job responsibilities.
