About The Position
As a Sales Floor Department Supervisor at Lowe's, you will be responsible for leading and enabling a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store. This includes coaching and training associates, delegating tasks, managing performance, and ensuring adequate department coverage. You will assist with down stocking and area recovery, provide input into merchandising decisions, and monitor the use of store power equipment while coaching employees on safe behaviors and lifting techniques. Your role will also involve customer-facing activities such as greeting customers, clarifying needs, identifying solutions, and closing sales, as well as non-customer-facing activities like inventory management and conducting safety walks. You will work closely with your leaders to identify best practices that meet sales and service objectives and communicate these to your team. Additionally, you may occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
