About The Position

The Sales Executive role at Marriott International focuses on driving sales initiatives for Marriott Select Brand Hotels in the Silicon Valley area. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, or related area.
  • OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major; no work experience required.
  • Preferred: 4-year college degree; previous experience in proactive lead generation in hospitality and sales discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue to achieve hotel topline goals by soliciting business from various segments.
  • Identify and source new accounts while re-soliciting past business leads.
  • Coordinate and execute property internal mining efforts at assigned hotels.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure competitive sales strategies are in place.
  • Manage daily status change reports to help close hotel business.
  • Conduct customer-facing sales activities and site inspections for accounts.
  • Maintain up-to-date lead information and verify accurate reporting.
  • Utilize business intelligence to generate leads and identify new business opportunities.
  • Participate in community and hotel networking events to grow account share.
  • Engage in property-related events to support the development of new accounts.
