About The Position

Join Avalara MyLodgeTax Avalara MyLodgeTax specifically focuses on lodging tax compliance for short-term rental owners and property managers. The Sales Executive plays a critical role in driving Avalara's continued high-growth. You will manage inbound and outbound sales inquiries, advances prospects through the sales cycle, completes the onboarding, and ensures a seamless customer experience from initial engagement through account activation and licensing. Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales or customer service experience
  • You have exceeded performance goals
  • Experience maintaining clean records of sales outreach and contacts in a CRM with experience managing pipeline in Salesforce (or similar CRM)
  • Positive and customer-focused mindset
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Responsibilities

  • Exceed sales and onboarding targets within a high-growth segment of Avalara
  • Manage inbound calls and email inquiries from prospective customers
  • Conduct proactive outbound outreach to produce and grow pipeline
  • Sell Avalara MyLodgeTax to both new and existing customers
  • Guide prospects through the full sales cycle, from discovery to close
  • Partner with Business Development, Sales Executives, Support, and Licensing teams to ensure smooth onboarding and activation
  • Collaborate with Marketing to improve lead generation efforts and campaign messaging
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and account data in Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, and other sales tools
  • Use AI tools daily to increase productivity, improve engagement, and increase results
