About The Position

The Sales Event Manager plays a critical role in designing, planning, and delivering Pella’s most impactful sales events—including the National Sales Meeting, Winter Business Meetings, Collaboration Sessions, Fall Planning sessions, and other key sales and marketing initiatives. This role ensures strategic alignment with organizational priorities while overseeing all event logistics, registration processes, and execution from concept through completion. As a key member of the Sales Excellence team, this individual helps create memorable, educational, and meaningful experiences for our sales organization and broader internal audiences.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Event Manager or in a similar role, with demonstrated success planning and executing large‑scale or corporate events.
  • Minimum 5 years of event management experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project‑management skills.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities and the foresight to anticipate and mitigate risks.
  • Proficiency with event registration software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience managing budgets and negotiating vendor contracts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, work under pressure, and remain composed during high‑stress situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Relevant professional certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales leadership to develop and implement events and programs that align with business goals and strategic objectives.
  • Lead planning and execution of major sales events, ensuring programs support organizational priorities.
  • Manage all end‑to‑end event logistics, including venue selection, contracting, AV/production, catering, transportation, and lodging.
  • Create and maintain event timelines, project plans, and detailed execution schedules.
  • Oversee attendee registration platforms, communications, reporting, and data accuracy.
  • Direct onsite event operations, providing leadership to staff and managing vendor performance.
  • Collaborate with internal partners—including Corporate Events, Marketing, and Communications—to ensure alignment, brand consistency, and successful event delivery.
  • Manage event budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Conduct post‑event evaluations and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
