About The Position

Join a rapidly growing security integration company as a Sales Estimator, where you'll play a critical role in managing our overflow of project opportunities. This is NOT a traditional sales position - you'll be stepping into an established book of business with existing clients who rely on us for their security infrastructure needs. We're seeking an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience estimating security integration projects
  • Proven expertise with enterprise security platforms including Access Control Systems (Lenel, S2, Genetec Synergis), Video Management Systems (Genetec Omnicast, Milestone, Avigilon), Hardware platforms (Mercury boards, HID readers, Safetrust credentials), Intrusion/alarm systems (Bosch and similar)
  • Deep understanding of complete door hardware requirements and system architecture
  • Experience with healthcare, transportation, and large commercial facility requirements
  • Advanced ability to work with quoting platforms & tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail in quantifying materials and labor
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and their impact on installation
  • Ability to identify and account for special installation challenges (concrete block walls, ICRA requirements, etc.)
  • Self-motivated with a genuine sense of urgency in responding to opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate, comprehensive quotes for enterprise-level security integration projects
  • Calculate material requirements, licensing needs, and labor estimates for complex security systems
  • Create detailed proposals for video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection systems
  • Conduct thorough site walks using professional measurement tools (distance wheels)
  • Document site conditions through verbal notes and video recordings via Company Cam
  • Assess infrastructure requirements including cable pathways, closet layouts, and building conditions
  • Identify special requirements such as firestop sleeves, ICRA compliance needs, and challenging construction elements
  • Specify complete door hardware systems including readers, strikes/maglocks, REX devices, and resistors
  • Design system architectures connecting field devices to head-end equipment
  • Determine software licensing requirements for enterprise platforms
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare, transportation, and commercial facility standards
  • Attend client meetings to understand project scope and requirements
  • Provide technical consultation during the estimation process
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing enterprise clients
  • Respond to quote requests with urgency and professionalism
