The Sales Engineer will focus on driving Sales of TRUMPF Service Agreement and related Smart Services offerings in USMCA markets. The role will require active consultation with customers during machine sales projects as well as after sales. This position will require traveling to customers to understand their requirements and to support the field sales team with product expertise for Service Agreement and related Smart Services. This position will be the subject matter expert in TRUMPF’s Service Agreement and related Smart Services portfolio.

Requirements

  • strong technical/sales experience with extensive experience in sheet metal fabrication and specifically TRUMPF technology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills required
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills a must
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience is required
  • AS degree required

Nice To Haves

  • SAP, Microsoft Office Suite desired
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert in the field of Service Agreements and related Smart Services
  • Consult with main product sales and TruServices sales generalists to support with Service Agreement and related Smart Services expertise
  • Act as subject matter expert for Service Agreement and related Smart Services and work closely together with the Product Management team in Germany to increase Sales of Service Agreement and related Smart Services (i.e. Condition Monitoring)
  • Develop product information for USMCA market to support field sales team
  • Support creation and further improvement of standard processes for Service Agreement and related Smart Services sales
  • Represent Service Agreements and Smart Services at USMCA tradeshows, regional customer events and local customer events
  • Market analysis and active sales push for Service Agreement and Smart Services products
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline data to track progress on sales targets
