About The Position

New Wave Design ("NWD") is looking for a Sales Engineer responsible for playing a pivotal role in driving the success of our customers by providing technical expertise and strategic guidance through the sales cycle. You will collaborate closely with our sales, product, and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and design tailored solutions that address their unique needs.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Engineering or equivalent trade school diploma with 8 years of experience preferred
  • Knowledge of high-speed serial communications
  • Knowledge of layered (stacked) interface protocols
  • Knowledge of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA’s)
  • Knowledge of software systems and operating systems
  • Knowledge of embedded systems
  • Knowledge of test and measurement systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High urgency on customer responsiveness
  • Ability to organize, multitask, and interpret priorities
  • Ability to maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ability to problem-solve, analysis and achieve problem-resolution throughout the sales process
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds overhead
  • Must have finger and wrist dexterity for repetitive assembly tasks
  • Due to the type of work at our facilities and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be of a "U.S. Person". The candidate must be able to prove so, with remittance of proper identification supporting so, upon an acceptance of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Consultation
  • Engage in technical conversations including new accounts and first engagements with customers ensuring a full understanding of our customers' technical requirements and articulating how our solutions can meet their needs.
  • Solution Design
  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to architect customized solutions, including integrations with existing systems and third-party applications.
  • Client Support
  • Proactively engage with customers to identify potential opportunities for collaboration and business growth followed by leading the interaction with customers to understand technical requests and requirements once those opportunities have been identified. This includes trade-off discussions with customers on technical requirements, schedule, and costs. Provide routine pre/post-sales technical customer support. Client support may include up to 30% travel with the sales team while engaging with existing and potential customers.
  • Product Knowledge
  • Thoroughly understand New Wave Design and Verification’s existing and planned product lines to confidently speak to the capabilities and value of our solutions to potential customers.
  • Technical Documentation
  • Develop technical documentation, including solution architectures, deployment guides, best practices, and sales and marketing materials such as technical diagrams and whitepapers to support sales efforts and ensure successful implementation.
  • Feedback Loop
  • Aid in assessing opportunities based on technical requirements and alignment with our product offerings and sales strategy to achieve both New Wave Design and Verification and our Customers’ objectives.
  • Training and Enablement
  • Develop training materials and deliver technical training sessions to sales teams, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources to effectively sell our solutions.
