The Sales Engineer's primary function is to manage customer opportunities and orders through the sales, engineering, and implementation phases of a project in order to ensure that customer expectations are managed and met and that the company remains profitable throughout a project.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Food industry experience preferable
• Equipment experience preferable
• 5-10 years of experience in sales and engineering environments
• Proficiency in Draft Site, AutoCAD and Solid Works
• Must have good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Proficient in use of ERP systems (Epicore)
• Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, and other departments
• Good oral / written communication skills
• Willingness and ability to identify opportunities for improvement and make suggestions for change
• Must be highly detail oriented; attentive to accuracy and neatness
• Displays diplomacy and the ability to work effectively with customers and other departments
• Demonstrates cooperation and willingness to take instruction
• High degree of flexibility and willingness to work on a wide variety of projects and tasks
• Displays enthusiasm and a positive attitude
• Must be in office in Souderton, PA

Responsibilities

• Understand our customers, markets, and solutions
• Understand our internal systems and processes to include all departments
• Work directly with our current Sales Engineering team and our customers to develop layouts, propose solutions, and manage expectations
• Work with engineering and operations to develop accurate price estimates and keep our price list updated
• Develop relationships with our cooperative vendors in order to make integration projects go smoothly
• Work with our external component vendors to understand their product lines and technologies
• Administer our CRM system and customer file cabinet for automating communications, proposals, and outbound marketing
• Learn our ERP system to obtain accurate solution costs for preparation of estimates
• Publish White Papers pertaining to interleaving automation, the benefits of interleaving, and the innovation surrounding new interleaving materials
• Support Writing press releases for new and existing products
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
