About The Position

As a Sales Engineer at Boingo Wireless, you'll specialize in DAS, Public Safety / ERRCS, and Wi-Fi solutions. You will be the technical expert for in-building cellular connectivity and communication, working closely with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to develop tailored solutions for customers in hospitality, healthcare, CRE, and MDU industries. We're investing in technology and business development. You'll have the opportunity to see your designs come to life, over and over again. We're in it to win it, we have the tools to get it done, but we need your engineering skills to get there.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales engineering for wireless/RF engineering, DAS, Public Safety / ERRCS, and other in-building wireless connectivity solutions.
  • Strong understanding of RF engineering principles and public safety communication requirements.
  • Proficiency in cellular analytics and field-testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with OEM solutions from companies like CommScope, Comba, and SOLiD.
  • An understanding of AHJ requirements and experience working with AHJ's and Life Safety consultants.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic culture.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or similar); advanced degree a plus.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales to assess customer requirements and design customized solutions.
  • Explain Boingo's products and services to potential customers.
  • Conduct site surveys, RF modeling, and construction surveys.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, IFC, FCC, and AHJ regulations.
  • Support RFPs, RFIs, and bid processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers and installation teams.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during all phases.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Educate customers and partners on DAS and Public Safety / ERRCS.
  • Prepare competitive SWOT analyses and sales battlecards.
