Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) focuses on providing the highest level of support and responsiveness to both employees and customers, including the world's largest technology companies. The Sales Engineer will interface with external customers and internal product development, product marketing, and application teams. This role involves selling and promoting all ACS products for two large IT and Datacom customers that are strategic to Amphenol's growth, through successful design win activities. The Sales Engineer will help devise strategies to differentiate ACS products and solutions from competitors, broadening and increasing penetration at strategic accounts. This position provides excellent insight into the Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Product Development functions of the organization.

  • Work within a highly motivated global front end team successfully meeting and exceeding the customer's expectations while providing sales leadership.
  • Identify all interconnect opportunities/applications of ACS products and work with the customers' engineering team to design in new products.
  • Develop and implement sales plan and growth strategy.
  • Meet and exceed strategic objectives and established sales quota via new design wins and management of the entire sales channel.
  • Motivate the customer to increase product content.
  • Support technical aspects of the sales cycle including marketing support for the development and implementation of ACS products.
  • Provide customer service to solve complex interconnect problems and technical inquiries.
  • Track orders and revenue by customer.
  • Build rapport and provide customer support by supplying information related to samples, delivery dates, part drawings and specifications, quality issues, credit issues, etc.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the market and competition in your territory.
  • Keep informed of new products and other general information of interest to customers.
  • Limited travel is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a Business/Marketing technical aptitude.
  • 3+ years current experience within field sales and applications or related experience (inside sales or customer service with interconnect, passive, electromechanical components).
  • Knowledge of international business practices is a plus.
