About The Position

Position Summary: The sales engineer intern is a customer facing role that will learn to develop and maintain value-added relationships with customers by identifying and solving our customers fluid system issues. The role has responsibilities to identify customer opportunities, develop solutions, quoting/ estimating, and closing sales opportunities. This internship will include experiences within our Custom solutions and Engineering team to provide technical understanding of our high-quality system solutions. What you will learn: Account planning and strategizing that drive new revenue. Identifying both commercial and technical sales opportunities. Facilitate relationships between customers and Swagelok Custom Solutions Team. Expertise on assigned accounts business and processes. Increase customer profitably while aligning our values. Leveraging technical solution selling to improve customers system performance. Build trust and long term partnerships with customers and peers. Understanding strategic company growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Rising Junior or Senior in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Drive for results
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions independently.
  • Innovative
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Proven relationship building experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous selling experience a plus (B2B or B2C).
  • Fluid pressure systems experience a plus.
