The Sales Engineer will act as a key technical resource in our sales process, working closely with our sales team and customers. This role involves understanding customer needs, providing technical expertise, and assisting in the development of tailored solutions that align with our products and services in the oilseed and feed industries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Self-starter and self-motivated with an enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages at any given time
  • Strong understanding of operating and maintenance principles behind Expellers® and Expanders as well as auxiliary equipment in relevant process market
  • Competent in all Microsoft Office programs: word, excel, power point
  • Capable of solving mass & energy balances related to process flow diagrams
  • Capable of reading and interpreting P&IDs
  • Working knowledge of given product line
  • Basic understanding of principles governing fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and mass transfer
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships worldwide and within the company
  • A technical background and/or strong technical skills
  • Educated in Process Safety

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential customers and opportunities.
  • Assess customer requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals and quotations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to product implementation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams regarding customer needs.
  • Provide presentations of our machinery, equipment, and technology at association meetings, short courses, and customer meetings.
  • Transmit knowledge gained through field service to the R&D department at Anderson to support the continuous innovation of Anderson processing equipment and technology.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Be willing to travel 40-50% domestically and/or internationally as directed by management to oversee equipment installations, conduct pre-commissioning surveys, startup Anderson processing equipment and trouble shoot Anderson processing equipment in a worldwide market
  • Work with Customer Service/Inside Sales division to maintain strong customer relations through continual support of active Anderson processing lines
