About The Position

The Sales Engineer, Enterprise supports the enterprise sales organization by providing technical expertise, solution design, and consultative support throughout the sales cycle. This role partners closely with Enterprise Account Executives to identify customer requirements, design scalable telecommunications solutions, and present technical value to enterprise customers. The position exercises a high degree of autonomy while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure solutions align with customer needs and company capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Pre-Sales Engineering role within telecommunications, networking, or a related industry
  • Experience supporting enterprise or large commercial customers
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking, fiber-based services, WAN technologies, and enterprise connectivity solutions
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce (or equivalent) for opportunity management and forecasting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) for presentations, proposals, and customer documentation
  • Valid driver’s license required

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications (CCNA, CCNP, SD-WAN, or similar) preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Enterprise Sales Team to support the full sales lifecycle, including discovery, solution design, proposal development, and deal closure
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer business objectives, network environments, and technical requirements
  • Design and recommend enterprise telecommunications solutions, including fiber-based services, Ethernet, SD-WAN, DIA, voice, and managed services
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and solution overviews to enterprise customers and stakeholders
  • Create network diagrams, solution documentation, and technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and proposals
  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert during customer meetings and presentations
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, provisioning, product, and operations teams to ensure solution feasibility and smooth transition post-sale
  • Maintain knowledge of telecommunications technologies, industry trends, and competitive offerings
  • Support account planning and identify opportunities for expansion, upsell, and cross-sell within enterprise accounts
